I was born in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. I’ve ridden most of my childhood and adult life, except for a short stint when I was studying overseas in France, and have competed across multiple equestrian disciplines, but primarily mounted games, polocrosse and show jumping. I’ve been fortunate to represent the NT at multiple national Prince Philip Mounted Games competitions and went on to represent Australia in 2001 in America, which were all incredible experiences. I am the Managing Director of an Events and PR agency and we work across Northern Australia. When the opportunity of the Derby came up, I contacted a lifelong friend Jess (and the only other person mad enough to entertain the idea) and we decided to make completing the Mongol Derby our bucket list goal. For me, to ride the Derby is the opportunity to see what I’m truly capable of - to test all my limits and see what I can push myself through. It’s the chance for an epic adventure, with a great mate, making memories that will last a lifetime!
