A late bloomer in the saddle, Elio took up riding at 40 and became addicted to the adrenaline of polo. After ten years on the pitch he took a break to let his broken bones recover and fully concentrate on his exciting business life. With his daughter Arianna proposing the idea to get back in the saddle and train for the Derby, he couldn’t resist this once in a lifetime challenge, and joins her as Team LEA. They are riding to raise money for Room to Read, a charity for education and gender equality. Their goal is to enjoy their time on the steppe and cross the finish line together.
