Erdene-Ochir Uuganbayar is 27 years old. He was born in a Mongolian herder family in Tuv Province. Currently, he lives with his own family of four, his two children and his wife. They raise horses, cows, sheep and goats. He started riding horses at a very early age and used to race in the local Naadams. He graduated in the ninth grade at the Secondary School of Tuv Province. He enrolled in the vocational training center in Nalaikh District, Ulaanbaatar. After graduating from the vocational training centre, he served in the army for one year. He competed in the Equestrianists ‘Herder Trials’ in 2021, with his best event being the horse bucking competition. He’s excited to represent Mongolia against international riders. He loves competition and this is a unique experience he calls “once in a life time”. He’s also excited to meet new nomadic families across the course.
